Indiana Lions for the ISBVI State Project

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA

The annual Spring Work Day at the Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ISBVI) will be held on May 8th, 2010 at 9AM, Indianapolis time. The Work Day is a long-standing tradition, providing opportunities for the Lions of Indiana to experience the ISBVI campus, provide needed services, and foster fellowship between Lions Clubs. Examples of services to be performed may include, but is not limited to, groundskeeping, painting, and general cosmetic maintenance.

Lions planning to attend the event should wear comfortable clothes (which may get dirty) including closed-toed shoes. Lunch will be provided.

CROWN POINT, INDIANA

The Lions of Indiana District A will be hosting a Golf Outing on August 20, 2010 to support the Indiana Lions for the Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ISBVI.) The event will take place at the Lakes of the Four Seasons (LOFS) Country Club in Crown Point Indiana.

The event is to be a 4-Person Scramble, with a limit of 144 participant. The Entry Donation is $85 per person, with a discounted rate of $60 to LOFS members.

A Golfer's Drawing for five $100 prizes will be held. Register before July 31, 2010 and receive two entries. Additionally, a Hole-in-One on Hole #17 wins a $10,000 prize!

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA

The Lions for the Indiana State School for the Blind and Visually Impaired State Project Board of Trustees met on April 10, 2010 to discuss a number of issues, including a review of the budget to-date, expenditures to benefit the school (wireless infrastructure, classroom materials, and education-related travel expenses,) and standard orders of business.

The meeting was well attended and minutes will be available to interested Lions Clubs soon.
